Project, which I’ve got the lucky to be a part of, about the requalification of Ca’ Tron area, near Venice Lagoon, developed during the Festival delle Città Impresa, by Cibicworkshop research studio.

Destination – Festival delle Città Impresa – from 30th of april to 5th of may 2012.
Fondazione Francesco Fabbri – Villa Brandolini.
A multidisciplinary workshop by Cibicworkshop.

In the context of the Festival Città Impresa 2012, the “Designing Uses” workshop involved 8 Italian Universities + Cibicworkshop.
They addressed 9 crucial areas of the Northeast Italian countryside, which in recent years has seen an erosion in its own potential from the urban and economic point of view, and therefore also in terms of the social world and tourism. The region will be boosted, however, with the candidacy of Venice and the Northeast as European Capital of Culture 2019.

Cibicworkshop worked on the Ca’ Tron area, near the Venice Lagoon proposing a reflection on existing economic and agricultural current models and new possibilities.

Giovanni Leoni (farmer) and Elvio Del Monte from Tepco Studio (urban planning studio founded by Leopoldo Saccon) were part of Cibicworkshop working group.

The team was composed also by Aldo Cibic, Chuck Felton, Cora Tommaso, Andrea Francesconi, Alessandro Squatrito, Michele Novello.

The other groups invited to take part were:

Università di Camerino; Università degli Studi di Trieste; IUAV Venice; Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli; Università ULPGC ETSA Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Università di Trento; Università di Catania; Politecnico di Milano; Università “Mediterranea” Reggio Calabria.
